Separate me from what creates balance
To deserve to be let down
What soaks up and sobers?
The prison of twilight
Peace will not absolve this
Cut these cords.
Let it unravel
Let it flood through every floor
Teach me a lesson
Build upon my disgrace
The unbearable flaws of it all
Torrents crash without warning
Unlatch from the notion that this is binding
Figments strike out in passing
To be parched always eternally
Here lies what we've feared
Just let it pass
Take cover from the all seeing sun
Bewitched by the glare
Let it wash over you
I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
This one really goes deep. Tremendously heavy and bleak, yet crushingly groovy as well. You can easily see these guys destroying any venue they'd hit live with this. The heavy hitting slow to mid-tempo tunes are sort of tranceinducing. It's very easy to listen to it multiple times in a row or even get lost in it totally. mourner
This album is haunting, beautiful, and cathartic. One of the best post-black metal albums out there. I bought a cd on Discogs, but needed the vinyl. Доберман Сатз
